Did you know that Google recently added closed captioning to Google Slides? Yeah, me neither.
I just stumbled across this the other day when I opened a Google Slide on the Harlem Renaissance (man, the kids really dig the Harlem Renaissance) upon "presenting" the slide I was asked if I wanted closed captioning. Of course, the answer was yes; I don't know why, but I really felt like I needed it at the time. I don't know if you have ever used the closed caption option for YouTube, but, in my experience, it is usually trash. I expected this to be trash as well. So, I asked the kids to buckle up and I enabled my microphone (an automatic feature) and we took the closed captioning feature for a spin.
Low and behold it worked and I mean it really worked! Check out this sample video.
